FRANCES M. YELLENIC
On the afternoon of Saturday, March 25th, 2017, Frances M. (Zeman) Yellenic passed away quietly at Rose View Nursing Home in Williamsport, Pa. Born and raised in Johnstown, Pa., she was the daughter of John and Ann Zeman. She was married to the late Joseph P. Yellenic with whom she raised two sons. Frances was a gifted artist who created exquisite paintings. Her artistic expertise was also revealed in the beautifully decorated cakes she made. In one instance she recreated Da Vinci’s Last Supper on the top of a cake using only chocolate. Most importantly, Frances was a woman of great faith. She had been a lifelong parishioner of St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church in Johnstown until moving to Canton to be near family. In earlier years she served in the cafeteria of St. Clement’s school. She was devout in her faith, never failing to say the Rosary each day, and trusting in the Lord.
Frances is survived by her son John (& Cindy) Yellenic, 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph P. Yellenic and son Joseph F. Yellenic.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 o’clock PM Monday, April 3rd at St. Clement’s Church, 114 Lindberg Ave. Johnstown, Pa. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery
