It is with deep sadness that we have learned of the passing of Charlie. We have just recently lost our father, Jim Barnhart, and he was a dear friend to our father.
Although distance keeps us apart please know that we think of your family often and pray that your family receives comfort with the happy memories.

Our sincere sympathies to you, Ellen and the family. Charlie had a strong presence in many activities in the Canton and LeRoy area. We last saw he and Ellen at the Leroy Fourth of July celebration in their golf cart.

Today, I am mourning the loss of a dear friend. Charlie always had a big smile, a hearty laugh and a great story for every occasion. He was like an older brother to me. He provided me counsel, a ride to work and many hours of enjoyment playing cards during some trying times. I will never forget the night of cards and cider with Charlie, Bob Rockwell and Darwin Morgan. A fantastic time. My thoughts and prayers are with Ellen, Linda, Richard, Neal and Penny during this very sad time. I pray you will be comforted by the love he had for you and the many fond and happy memories you had with him. I pray that he will rest in peace.
