My most sincere condolences to the DeLellis family and the members of the Endless Winds Fire Co. I was taken aback by the "final call" on the fire radio, as I had not heard of Bernie's passing. It was a fitting memorial to the great man he was. Bernie was a dedicated volunteer in the county, and it was an honor to know him.

I'm so sorry to hear about Bernie. I had the pleasure of taking care of him while he was at the Guthrie Troy Community hospital. He was a very sweet loving caring man that could make you smile even when you're having a rough day. I will truly miss the time we spent together while he was a patient. He will be greatly missed by all. My prayers and thoughts are with his wife and family at this time.

Bernie got me into growing grapes, He stopped over often to ask how they were growing. He was our cook at our sons graduation party and made the best BBQ pork you could ask for. Yes, whatever Bernie was involved in, he liked to help out others. Great guy.. Be at peace and out of pain, fly high you have earned your wings.

Bernie was a member of our fire company, he regularly attended meetings and always was available to handle traffic control during incidents in Elkland Township. He volunteered many years with the Annual 50 Mile Dog Sled races held in January at Camp Brule'. Bernie gave of his time and expertise in many areas that benefited our community and our members. He will be missed.
