On the morning of Tuesday, October 24, 2023, Lisa Rae Krise of Columbia Cross Roads passed away peacefully at Robert Packer Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was 57 years of age. Born September 9, 1966 in Troy, she was the daughter of Bradley Krise and Georgia (Spencer) Krise. She was a graduate of Canton Area High School, and following her graduation relocated to Kansas where she served for many years as an office administrator for one of the public school districts.
Lisa was a very giving person, always thinking of others. If something caught her eye that she knew a particular friend would like Lisa would buy it for her friend for no particular reason. She enjoyed making others happy. She loved animals, domestic house pets as well as her neighboring animals in the wild. She also enjoyed the excitement of trips to the casino, and was fond of collecting dragons and gnomes.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Stanley Poitras, at home, mother Georgia (Scott) LaMont of LeRoy,daughter Tiffany (Stephen) Bishop, half-brother Andrew (Brooke) Krise, Step-brother Brian LaMont, sister Cynthia (Asaph) Traore, half-sister Amy (Patrick) Mullen, stepsisters Nichole Orbeck and Tamara LaMont, and grandson Hunter Gilbert, She was preceded in death by her sister Susan Barrett.
Viewing will be Saturday, October 28, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Morse and Kleese Funeral Home, 94 N. Center St., Canton. Service will follow at 1 PM with the Rev. Duane Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in East Canton Cemetery. (morseandkleesefuneralhome.com
