JENNIFER (YELLENIC) BLOWERS

The evening of Wednesday, August 30th, 2017, saw the passing of a young Canton  woman who courageously fought a debilitating condition for many years.  Jennifer Suzanne (Yellenic) Blowers went home to be with the Lord while at Geisinger Medical Center  with her beloved family at her side.   She was 36 years of age.   Born December 10th, 1980  in Youngstown, Ohio,  she was the daughter of John and Cindy (Chamberlain) Yellenic.   Jenn was a graduate of Canton High School, where she had been active in band, jazz band, chorus, volleyball  and cheerleading.  Jenn had also been a member of the well-known teenage choral group, Stained Glass, and had performed with them up and down the the Mid Atlantic region for several years. She also enjoyed bowling and was very talented at crocheting and knitting.   Jenn was also a devoted wife and mother.  She was married to Robert Blowers and was the mother of two boys and a girl. Jenn was known for her bubbly personality and friendly, outgoing demeanor.  She could light up a room with her smile.  Most importantly, she was a woman of unshakable faith.   Regardless of dire circumstances, she was at peace with it all.  She trusted in Jesus, and Wednesday evening when Jesus took her hand she gladly followed.

Jenn is survived by her husband, Robert, sons Jordan Yellenic and Robert Blowers, Jr., daughter Adrianna (Pletcher) Yellenic, parents  John and Cindy Yellenic and brother Zachary Yellenic, all of Canton, sister Anna (& Sean) Doyle of Ambler, Pa., stepdaughter Star Black of Wilkes-Barre,  maternal grandmother Donna Chamberlain of Columbia Cross Roads,  Uncle Bradley Chamberlain of Troy,  parents-in-law Bruce and Kathy Blowers of Tunkhannock, sisters-in-law and Becky (& Francis) Richland of Dushore  and Katie Blowers of Carlisle,  as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.   A celebration of Jenn’s life will be announced at a later date.   Those wishing to honor Jenn’s memory may do so by donating to the   Jenn Yellenic Blowers Childrens’  Fund, c/o  First Citizens’ Community Bank,  53 W.
