VIRGINIA L. “GINNY” CRAIN
On the evening of Wednesday, September 12th, 2018, Virginia L. (Hakes) Crain of Ralston passed to Glory while at the Williamsport Hospital. She was 66 years of age. Born January 16th, 1952, she was the daughter of Clark and Vivian (Wilt) Hakes. Known to family and friends as Ginny, she was employed by Martha Lloyd Services in Troy, retiring after 26 years as a supervisor of the residential staff. Ginny was also a woman of great faith, and was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Canton Township. Her faith carried her through life’s tribulations, and on Wednesday evening led her home.
Ginny is survived by her daughter, Tawna (& Timothy) Ayrton of Ralston, granddaughters Rachel (& Chris) Heller and Alexandria Ayrton (& Matt Skwarlo), sisters Sally Weitzel of Ralston, brother Bill (& Theresa) Hakes of South Williamsport, sister Shirley Condo of Harrisburg as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Crain, son Roy Ball Jr., parents Clark and Vivian Hakes and brother Clark Hakes, Jr. Visitation will be Tuesday, the 18th, from 11 AM until noon at Morse and Kleese Funeral Home, 94 N. Center St., Canton. A celebration of Ginny’s life will be at 12 noon with Pastor John Latimer officiating. Interment will follow in Twin Hills Cemetery. (morseandkleesefuneralhome.com)
