MARIE M. FREEMAN

   On the afternoon of Tuesday,  November 17^th, 2015,   Marie M. Freeman of Painted Post, NY passed away unexpectedly at her residence.  She was 84 years of age and was born May 2^nd, 1931 in Alba, PA..   Marie received her Bachelors’  degree in education from Mansfield State Teachers’ College (M.U.) , and her masters’ degree from Penn State.  She taught at various schools in the Southern Tier, such as Horseheads and Elmira, and helped to enlighten the minds, develop the characters and impart her wisdom and work ethic to many area young people. 

  She is survived by brothers Joseph (& Alice) Walter of Watkinsville, GA., Kenneth Irvin of Columbia, SC, nieces Tania Backman, Gabriella Nysveen and nephew Trent Dobbs.

  A celebration of her life will be held 2 PM Friday the 20^th at Morse & Kleese Funeral Home, 94 N. Center St., Canton, Pa.  The family will receive friends between 1 and 2 PM.  Interment will follow in Alba Cemetery.
