SHEILA K. HILTON

On the afternoon of Saturday, February 27th, 2016, Sheila Kay (Carman) Hilton of Granville Summit went home to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was 46 years of age.  Born December 1st, 1969 in Towanda, she was the daughter of Ronald and Donna (Morse) Carman.  Sheila was a graduate of Canton Area High School’s Class of 1988, after which she attended the Williamsport School of Commerce, graduating in 1991.  Throughout most of her adult life she was employed at Troy Community Hospital.  She was married to Michael A. Hilton, with whom she raised two children.  Although somewhat quiet and shy, Sheila had a smile that could light up a room  and went out of her way to help others.  She also took great care of her appearance, as any professional should.   In her spare time she enjoyed reading, crocheting and vacations at the seashore, and kept a collection of sand samples from beaches up and down the east coast.  She was a fan of country music, especially the music of Alan Jackson.  Most of all, Sheila loved being with her family, playing games and enjoying good times.

Sheila is survived by her husband, Michael A. Hilton, at home, parents Ronald and Donna (Morse) Carman and son Anthony M. Hilton, all of Canton, daughter Angelina Hilton of Sayre, brother Thomas (& Cammy) Carman of Coryland.  Also survived by Uncle Ralph (&  Donna) Carman, Aunt Ann  (& Wes) Hodge, Uncle Robert (&  Marlene) Morse, Uncle Donald (& Roberta) Morse, grandson and apple of her eye Wyatt Hilton, special nephews Dominic and Terence Carman, as well as mother-in-law Bonnie Hilton, brother-in-law Howard Jr. (& Denise) Hilton and their daughter Amber, Uncle David (& Mindy) Hilton and their children Kayla, David and Nicolas, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ruth & Harold Morse and paternal grandparents Helen and Donald Carman,  as well as uncles James & William Morse and Richard & John Carman and father-in-law, Howard Hilton Sr.

A celebration of Sheila’s life will be held Saturday, March 5th at Morse and Kleese Funeral Home, 94 N.
