Maria Lorraine Nardi

Maria Lorraine Nardi died on February 26, 2017 in Hospice at Manor Care nursing facility. Lorraine was born on December 26, 1947 at the Williamsport Hospital to her parents Carmela Tedesco Nardi and Henry J. Nardi, Sr. She grew up and attended schools in Loyalsock Township, where she was a member of the St. Ann Catholic Church on Northway Road. At the time of her death her home was in Montoursville where she was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. During high school she became a Candy Stripe volunteer at the Divine Providence Hospital and thereafter earned an LPN degree. She continued uninterruptedly to work at the Divine Providence Hospital until about 15 years ago when she was stricken with scleroderma.

She is survived by her only sibling, her brother Henry Nardi Jr., his wife, Catherine, and their daughters, Priyanka and Anjali, all of St. Petersburg, Florida. Lorraine was especially fond of her nieces who were adopted in 1987 from Mother Teresa’s orphanage in India. Details for a funeral Mass / memorial service will be announced at a later date when arrangements can be made for out-of-town family to attend. Her remains will be interred at Wildwood Cemetery next to her mother and father.
