Welcome to the memorial page for

John G. Danovsky

September 29, 1974 ~ December 24, 2017 (age 43) 43 Years Old

.

John G. Danovsky, IV, 43, passed away quietly at home on Christmas Eve in Carlisle, PA.

John was born in Alleghany Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, PA, on September 29, 1974, the son of John Danovsky and Carla Hubler Danovsky.  He was a graduate of Kiski Area High School. While John grew up in western PA, he loved visiting the mountains and spent his summers with his grandparents and relatives in Troy, PA, where he enjoyed fishing, swimming, rebuilding classic cars with his Uncle Chris, and hanging out with his favorite cousin, Lori Johns.

After graduation, John became a skilled carpenter and foreman of construction crews as well as an expert machinist.  His meticulous care with woodworking was obvious in all projects he undertook.  As the result of his job, John traveled widely and enjoyed the opportunity to visit many places and meet new people.

John loved his family, especially his daughter, Kaiya Danovsky, and frequently returned to Troy to spend time with his beloved grandfather and grandmother and meet up with old friends. His sense of humor was infectious, and the warmth of his personality drew many people to him.  He always had time to help others, offering rides, helping with carpentry, or running errands.  John donated his time at a food pantry in Carlisle and said it gave him a great sense of peace to participate in its mission to feed those in need. He was an avid reader, enjoying books by Stephen King in particular, and an expert rider, always looking forward to long motorcycle rides. He loved animals and was particularly fond of his dog Gizmo.

"Grief is the price we pay for love." John was much loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his only child, Kaiya Danovsky and her mother Nicole Speicher, his mother Carla Danovsky (Randy Weiss), father John Danovsky (Tammy Danovsky), grandmother Theresa Hubler, his aunts Louise Johns (Keith Johns) and Coleen Hubler, uncles Chris Hubler (Dawn Allen) and Aaron Liska (Sharon Liska), cousins Rachel Danovsky, McKenna Hubler, Calum Hubler, Lori Hubler, and several others, and friends Cory Lydon, Carrie Douglas, Shawn MacDougall, and many more.

He was predeceased by his cousin Lori Johns, his grandfather Lewis H. Hubler, grandmother Sally Liska, grandfather Andy Liska, and uncle Andy Danovsky.

The family will receive friends from 2-8 PM on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at Morse and Kleese Funeral Home, 94 N. Center St, Canton, PA, and a Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at St. John's Church at Exchange and High Streets in Troy, PA, with interment in St. John's Cemetery directly afterward.
