February 24, 1951 ~ November 1, 2017 (age 66) 66 Years Old

JANET L. WAGNER

On the morning of Wednesday, November 1st, 2017, Janet L. (Stone) Wagner of Towanda went to be with her Jesus while at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.  She was 66 years of age.  Born February 24th, 1951 in Blossburg, Pa., she was the daughter of Francis and Laura (Carl) Stone.  Janet’s faith in God led her to become a pastor, which further enabled her to touch the lives of people in ways that they will never forget.  Helping others brought her enormous joy, and came naturally to her.  She loved all animals, great and small, and would have given homes to all of them if she could.  Her other passions included crafting, music, traveling anywhere and baking.  Her specialties included holiday candy, fudge of any kind and her unsurpassed chocolate peanut butter sauce.  Janet spent many happy hours playing cards and games at her two second homes.  She brought joy and laughter to her niece, Mary Lou’s home and family.  Her nephews, Stephen and Bill Morgan and family of Shunk always cherished Janet’s visits.

She is survived by brother, Clarence (& Barbara) stone, sisters Evelyn (& Bob) Blow, Eleanor Hanna, jean (& Ronnie) Shaner and Linda (& Tom) Runkle, nieces & nephews Pam, David, Tom, Don, Debbie, Connie, Fred, Tim, Sherri, Greg, Eileen, Rodney, Marcellyn, Leslie, Joey and Kathy.  Also surviving are great nieces, great nephews, cousins and many friends whom she considered as family.  She was preceded in death by husband, Lynn Wagner, sister and brother-in-law, Florence & Lyle Morgan,  sisters Doris Stone, Mary Jane Stone, Edith Lucas and brother-in-law Dick Hanna, as well as a special friend, Stanley Rice, who passed away recently.

Visitation will be noon Saturday, November 4th, at Morse & Kleese Funeral Home, 94 N. Center Street, Canton, with services at 1 PM, officiated by Pastor Randy Route.  Interment will follow in Grover Cemetery.    Donations in Janet’s memory may be made to the Animal Care Sanctuary, 353 Sanctuary Hill Lane, East Smithfield, Pa., 18817.  (morseandkleesefuneralhome.com)
