OBITUARY FOR HENRY L. MARTIN

Henry Leamon Martin was born in Granville Twp on May 3, 1924 and departed this life to be with the Lord on August 13, 2015.  He was 91.

He was the oldest of five children born to the late Harry and Dorothy (Saxton) Martin.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marcia VanHorn Martin; five children, Frank and Lois Martin Harris of Bel Air, MD, Dale H. Martin of Middlebury Center, PA, Bob and Sara Martin Hart of Cogan Station, PA, David L. and Kathy Martin, and Dan J. and Jeannine Martin; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by two sisters, Janice Sponseller of Denver, CO and Vonda Dundon of Canal Fulton, OH.  Pre-deceased is a brother, Harold S. Martin and a sister, Marjorie Martin.

 Henry was a dairy farmer for fifty plus years in Granville Summit.  He was also a member of the Troy Grange and a life-long member of the Granville Center Church of Christ.  He enjoyed woodworking, reading, and porch-sitting with friends and family. 

Visitation will be Monday, August 17 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Granville Center Church of Christ, Granville Summit, PA.  A celebration service will be held at 12:00 PM with internment following at the Granville Center Cemetery.  A luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall.

The family will provide the flowers, and suggests  that you make a donation in memory of Henry to New Tribes Mission, 1000 East First St., Sanford, FL  32771 or to a charity of your choice.
