On the morning of Friday, April 13th, 2018, lifelong Canton area resident Frances (Carnwright) Hite passed away quietly at her residence. She was 84 years of age. Born February 24th, 1934 in Armenia Township she was the daughter of Lloyd A. and Christine (Moore) Carnwright. She was the widow of the late Kenneth S. Hite, with whom she had raised four sons and three daughters. They shared 30 years together until Ken’s passing in December of 1983. In addition to caring for her family Frances was employed for many years as a Cafeteria Worker at the Canton Area School District. Frances was also an accomplished quilter, and following her retirement from the school system owned and operated a shop specializing in fabrics and other quilting and sewing supplies. She was an independent woman of decided opinion and was never afraid to say what was on her mind. Never one to mince words, you always knew where you stood with her. She enjoyed taking rides in the country, especially up on her beloved Armenia Mountain. Most of all she enjoyed the company of her family, and when her time to leave this world came her dear family was at her side.
